On tap at Vrteška 2017, shared with Višnja 666! Black, medium off-white to tan head. Dry fruit and malts, moderately hoppy. Dry and bitter. Medium body, medium carbonation, very dry finish. Not the best, but nice.

On tap at Vrteška. Black with a big off white head. Berry and caramel aroma, lovely, coconut, perfumey. Taste.. coconut, berry, herbal notes, light alcohol, perfumey, but the bitterness builds up too much. Definitely a very nice BIPA all in all, that has its flaws but doesn’t disappoint.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige head. Sweaty, resinous, hoppy aroma, initially cautious fruity hints of bramble gain weight with time and crowd into the foreground, overtones of pine needles. Taste is bitter herbal hoppy and bitter roasty dark malty, fruity hints of dark berries, bramble, cheesy notes of sweat / sweaty notes of cheese spoil the pleasure substantially.

10th July 2016: on-tap at Cerveseria La Més Petita, Barcelona with the RBESG guys. Almost black bodied in the afternoon shade as we sat outside (the bar being too small for us all to fit in), beige head on top. Slightly over roasted malts in the nose and taste with a little liquorice and toffee flavours seeping through in the taste. Not great, but not bad.

Tap at La Mes Petita. Black with beige head. Very roasty, licorice, black olives, resinous hops. Medium bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied. Might be because it’s so early but this is not really my thing.

Bottleshare on the England Football team night of shame! Almost opaque dark amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Mellow dry dark malts, mild roast. Dry floral bitterness. Dry and bitter dark chocolate. Dry bitter finish. Bitter bastard for a CDA.

330ml bottle from Saveur Biere. Pours black-brown in colour with a good sized beige foam head leaving some lacing. Nose of dark roast malt along side tangy, fruity hoppy notes. Flavour is rich roasted malt, toffee, chocolate & coffee, with woody pine, spicy hop and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry woody earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable BIPA.
