During an internship in Quebec in 2011, Maxime discovered craft beer and amateur brewing. Back in France, he began to brew his first "house" beers with Lucie. Very quickly the hobby becomes a passion, experiments and brews follow one another.

In August 2016, the Microbrasserie les Funambules was officially born and in February 2017 we released our first cuvées. We then brew on 5hL tanks with a production of 250hL per year. ​After three years of existence, success is there: the beers are popular and in demand. The production capacity quickly becomes limiting and the volumes produced do not allow us to live on it.

​We are moving in July 2020 50m from the old brewery to a more spacious room with new tanks allowing us to produce more and better!
