Intense aroma of overripe fruit and massive alcohol. Fairly solid body, sweet overripe fruit, wood and caramel - somewhat oxidized. Subdued bitterness with a warming alcohol in the finish. 190110

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2009) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit and a touch of bitter orange marmalade. Fruity, malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and loads of fresh hops in the finish. Rather full bodied and sweet. Great IPA with an impressive hop character. Lovely beer!

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2009) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of dark fruit, raisins, prunes and spices. Malty, roasted taste with dark fruit, caramel, coffee and a slightly spicy finish with a decent bitterness. Slightly above medium body, some sweetness lingering throughout. Very tasty and very nice beer.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2009) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, spicy nose with citrus, herbs and spices (coriander, ginger, mint?). Fruity, spicy taste with orange, dried apricots and spicy hints of lavender and ginger. Some spicy bitterness in the finish. Light body, balanced sweetness. Different beer with lots of unexpected flavours. Tasty, spicy and quite nice.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Mes. Pours dark brown to black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, light chocolate and mild vanilla note. Smooth vanilla, roasted chocolate and lingering acidic roasted note. Bitter and slight acidic finish.

Cask (White Horse, Parsons Green, London) - Black with some red tinges when held to the light. Roasted aroma with a creamy hint. Roasted taste with coffee, chocolate and some hoppy elements. The finish is roasted with hints of coffee and hops.

Cask (White Horse, Parsons Green, London) - Gold/amber in colour. Pineapple, grapefruit and marmalade in the aroma. Hoppy taste with a strong and pleasant bitterness featuring tangy grapefruit. Very enjoyable.
