Certainly better than their other two beers I had but a not so sure about this whole finest smoked malt idea. Pours mahogany with decent head and lacing. Tangy finish with some smoke. Bottle i didn't finish.

They overdid the honey here like your girlfriend when she wants something from you. Golden amber pour with decent head and lacing. Sweet finish with a little bitter malt. Bottle.

Bottle. Golden orange pour. Aroma of bitter spicey malt, nettle and grapefruit. Taste has nettle, spicey herbs, malt, caramel, citrus and floral notes. Simple, not very good.

Pours amber from the bottle. Moderate foamy crown. The aroma is honey with floral notes. Taste is caramel sweet, a touch of toffee, mild herbal notes that counterbalance the sweetness. Stays the same through the finish. Simple, but still decent.

Pours gold from the bottle with a white, fluffy head. Light floral notes on an otherwise nondescript vaguely malty aroma. Taste is mildly sweet. Finish is lightly sweet, crisp. No hint of rye anywhere. Can be described as boring with a big B.

Bottle from a shop in Yellowstone National Park. Pours cloudy black with a big, frothy, slowly disappearing, beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, (light) coffee, dark chocolate, oatmeal and some dark fruits. It tastes light to medium sweet and light bitter with an only light roasted finish. Medium body, slick texture, light fizzy carbonation. Tasty enough, having some doubts about the palate.

On tap. Pours a clear yellow with a small, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet, faint aroma of wheat malt and honey. Mild, sweet aroma of pale malt, wheat, honey and a hint of fruit with a dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Bland and boring.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown, with no head, just a small, tan ring. Earthy and savory aroma, with notes of chicory, cloves, toffee, cedar, and black pepper. Sweet and very malty, with a light bitterness and good, spicy finish. Medium body, grainy, hard, and a little thin. This is a fairly solid scotch ale, and wonderfully aromatic, but lacking in the appearance and palate.
