Bottle. A murky looking dark brown beer with a nice looking dark beige head. Curtains. Roasted malts, dark dried fruits, hints of toffee and chocolate, and some burnt hints in the aroma. It's full bodied, smooth and semi-sweet, with a decent bitterness. Roasted malts, hints of heavy caramel sauce, some dark dried fruits, a hint of burnt malts and a touch of dark chocolate in the flavor. Lasting sweet malty finish. A nice one, perhaps a bit too bitter or burnt. 200711

Can. A clear copper colored beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Cute lacing. The aroma has a metallic and fruity touch at first, the metal soon disappearing, then bread crust, caramel and a touch of very lightly roasted malt kick in. It's medium bodied, semi-dry and softly carbonated, with a touch of bitterness, and flavors of caramel, bread crust and some dried fruits. Rather short finish. For the style it's a decent beer for sure, but it's still a bit dull. Not a beer I'd drink in the summer heat, but after sunset it's just fine. 200624

Can from Meny. Clear deep golden to pale copper body under a big off-white head. Aroma has malt and bread, quite clean in the nose. Taste has sweet malt, slightly fruity and decent bitterness for the style. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nothing revolutionary going on, but a decent well-made classic lager. A fine and uncomplicated thirst quencher at a fair price.

KØLF 150520. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, cofee. Flavor is alcohol, aquavit, coffee, cocoa, licorice, dried fruits. Very nice beer.
