330 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a small, dense off-white head. Aroma of rich malt, caramel and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, bread, moderate bitterness and hint of warming alcohol. Fine balanced body and long, sweet, malty aftertaste. A nice Christmas beer in the Bock tradition.

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune under romjulslunsj i WC-veien 30 Des 15. Mørk amber. Filmskum. Bra maltaroma. Smaken er søt karamell med en lett syrlig avslutning. Faktisk et godt & anvendelig juleøl.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, shared with Finn. Deep red brown body, filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Subdued aroma of dark malt, caramel and earth. Mixed taste profile of dark malts and dried fruits, hints of bead, nuts, caramel and ripe fruits. Rounded mid-sweet malt-fruity ending. Mostly masked alcohol. Rather easy to drink and, in fact, food friendly. Decent (romjulslunsj, Tromsø 30.12,2015).

330 ml bottle. Re-rating. Tasted in December 2017. Nothing super complex, but well made. Find it more interesting than most macro Christmas 4,7% beers as the classic caramel bomb flavor is mostly replaced with a more interesting chocolate malt flavor. A bit closer to a classic British porter or something in that direction. Not bad at all.
Old rating: Clear copper brown body with a medium sized off-white head. Moderate aroma of caramel, dry fruit and toast. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, toast and some fruit, low bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not bad really, pretty decent for a grocery shop macro Christmas beers, still not very interesting.
