Waxed bottle from Bu11zeye. Pours hazy orange with a 3 finger creamy off-white or beige head. Aroma is amazing fruit and oak. Full bodied - possibly due to the strong carbonation. Not sparkling - just a lot. Flavor is toffee, light stone fruit, lots of oak/wood, and something like barnyard/leather. Like a light touch of brett. This was bottled 10-8-12. One can only imagine what it will be like in the future. Good stuff indeed.

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Pours copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of tripel fruit esters with oak and a hint of rye. Med body or better. Pineapple, light stone fruit, oak, mild rye, and the flavors sort of rotate. Really firm flavors. So woody it approaches sour. Quite tasty.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Bruce. Lightly hazy dark brown beer. Smal cream coloured head. Light palate, slightly crisp. Light caramel and sourness. Touch of coca cola fruitiness. Whisper of brett and mild lactose sweetness. Tasty.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy deep ruby brown with a medium beige head. The nose is wood, earth, light vinegar, sherbet, tart, musty, vanilla and coconut. The taste is wood, earth, toast, cardboard, alcohol, light smoke, oily and mustiness with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full boy and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit unbalanced IMO, but pretty interesting stuff nonetheless.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Bruce himself. Pours ruby-brown with a creamy, tan head. Semi-dark malt aroma, slight menthol, some tangy fruits, dried berries. Medium sweet flavor with soft, sugary fruits, a bit of minty menthol, some mellow toffee, bread. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, little to no bitterness, light meat, semi-ripe fruits. Very tasty beer. Easy drinking.

Location: 375 ml bottle from Spec's - Houston Galleria, 10/23/13

Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, bourbon, and oak, with some pecans, vanilla, spice, and smoke
Appearance: It pours a brownish color with an orange hue, beige head, and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is quite sweet, like the nose, with bourbon, oak, spice, and a little smoke
Palate: The body is medium-full, it has a little stickiness, soft carbonation, and a clean finish
Overall Impression: I'm quickly becoming a fan of Ranger Creek. I haven't seen too many of their beers on the shelves in Houston, but if I see more I will happily try more. This seems to be a really quality brewery.
