Bomber thanks to Zach P!, 9/13/18. Black, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of smoke, roast, chalk. Taste is roast, minerals, tobacco, chocolate. Medium bodied.1100th Wisconsin rating!

Bomber thanks to my friend Zach P! Thanks! 9/13/18. Hazy amber, thin foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of floral, resin, pine. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, resin. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Tap at Grumpy Troll. There is some butter going on here. With nothing to hide behind, brewing flaws really come out. Pleasantly hopped, this could be a great beer if brewed better. Has a green apple-butter thing that kills the finished product. Someone could make a lot better beer with the same ingredients.I’d never order this again.

Tap at Grumpy Troll. Thick, creamy, beige head on top of an amber-brown body. Looks filtered. Medium bodied, a little thin for the style, comes off more like a deep amber lager...without the amber malt tones. Sweet, simplistic, OK. Not off, drinkable, just sort of insipid, lacks a lot of the enjoyable depth of the style.
