Pours bright light golden yellow. Head was frothy and dissapated rather quickly. Not much lacing. Smells of light hoppyness and grain. A bit yeasty. Flavor was crisp and light, slightly of lemon and lightly bitter. The lasting finish was a bit bitter but not unpleasant. A good light beer on a hot day. But not particularly interesting.

Golden colour with a light sparkle. Big, clean bready malt aroma. Full body, light toastiness and more big bready flavours. Long and very well-balanced. A rival to Hofbrauhaus Maibock.

[draught] I was expecting an overly hopped, ersatz version of a bock - what I got was not quite the case - this was surprisingly sweet, with quite a subdued hop presence (for SN anyway) - grainy, with hints of maple and corn syrup - somewhat thin finish - not the greatest of bocks, but much better than expected.

[draught] This is one killer APA - I was kind of expecting a clone of the Celebration Ale, but this certainly is not - a similar level of hoppiness, but this beer’s sweetness factor is much higher - fruity and malty, but there are no stereotypical citrus flavors that you would expect from the style (more like cherries?)- quite creamy and chewy for the style - sticky, yet balanced finish - I think Stone 7th an. is still the best APA I’ve had, but this ranks up there with Dark Star’s IMHO.

The aroma is very hoppy and grassy. The color is an unclear red and it has no head. The flavor is lovely hoppy and very dry, but also with notes of grass and oil. A simple beer, but very nice.

Draft. Caramel color with a huge beige head. Tons of cascade hop aroma. Big fruity (citrus) flavor that yields to a nice bitterness. Malt’s in the background, but it’s there - balanced/well-done IPA.

A fairly run of the mill porter, I keep planning to come back to this one but never seem to get around to it. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a dark black color with a small tan head. Pours a little thin but I guess that is to be expected from a porter. There is a strong hoppy scent with a hint of caramel. The flavor is strong, malty and dry with some coffee. A relatively strong flavor of hops. Solid.

Solidly done but I am not much of a fan of dry stouts. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a thick black color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma is dry hops and light roasted malts. The flavor is dry stout - malty with some floral hops. A decent hint of chocolate. Solid.

tap-Golden brown in colour, with anice sweet malty nose, lots of hops. Hoppiness is not overbearing in mouthfeel, with some nuts and grapefruit surrounding the mouth.

Clear amber/brown coloured body with almost no head at all. Slight vinegary aroma with a mild malty scent. Medium-bodied; Malty flavour throughout with some nuttiness and a mild coffee/chocolate flavour. Aftertaste shows some of the hops, but not too much else. Overall, a decent brown, but not anything really special from these guys! I had this beer on draught at the Flying Saucer in Nashville, Tennessee.
