Dark amber, nice head. Hop-fruity (apricot) aroma and flavour with a touch of chocolate. Full-bodied. Long bitter aftertaste.

Black coloured with nice head. Rosty/ toasted flavour. A good porter but nothing out of the ordinary.

I was really not too impressed with this one. Pours a rich golden color with a medium and fizzy off-white head. Very bubbly with thin lacing. Aroma is mild hops with a pinch of citrus. Light and crisp but ultimately uninspiring in the flavor department. It tasted about a 1/2 step better than the rest of the bland Lagers out there. The finish is decent but I honestly found my interest waning way before the end of the glass.

Dark brown color, brownish creamy head. Very nice aroma, basic mix of roasted malt and hop flowers, fresh. Smooth texture, good body structure, strong sweet liquorice; and roasted barley of course. Long roasted end, with a touch of sourness. Classic, but very good.

Another bleh. This is a relatively poor example of the style, IMO. It looks like a stout on the pour, with a very deep red body and thin tan head. Aroma is decent enough, with hops and roasted, almost burnt malts entering the airways. However, I am not a fan of the thin body and weak flavor. Roasted malts and some chocolate are there, but there is a strange caramely sweetness and too much emphasis on the hops. I'll put it this way: the blend does not work, at least for a stout. Now their porter is something else...

Another wheat, refreshing on a warm night. Golden, slightly cloudy body with light sediment. Thin white head quickly dissipates. Aroma is lightly hoppy. I found this wheat to be a bit on the tangy side, with a nice hint of lemon, but otherwise unspectacular. A refreshing choice if there are no better alternatives.

Very light golden in colour with a nice pale white head, but dissolved quickly. The smell is somewhat refreshing...very light and fruity. The taste is actually very strong, especially for a lager. There is a strong barley presence and a pretty good hop flavour. I don't find it too refreshing, but its not a bad beer. The aftertaste is almost a bit overwhelming and strong (in a bitter sense), but its worth trying.

Summertime, the weather's easy...so the brewers at Sierra Nevada decided to kick back and pony up "Summerfest," a light, rather bland lager that would be good if it was 75 cents/bottle. But I digress. Its straw-colored body is accented by a beautiful, rich, creamy, succulent, perfect head of thin white bubbles. The flavor is almost overwhelming: it is best to try this 2 ounces at a time. OK. In reality, this is a bland, boring brew. I'll stick to the summer wheats instead.
