On Tap at the Boise brewery/taproom Murky medium brown with a thin fine light tan ring of bubbles. Big boozy barrel aromas, and some caramelized toasted mats. More Bourbon notes in teh flavors, quite a bit actually. Smooth body and a lingering ABV burn. The BA componant is strong in this one.

On tap at the Boise brewery/taproom Black pour with a thin quickly dissipating tan head. Nice coffee and dark roast aromas. Sharp roasty flavors, well bittered and a smooth finish though not heavy or slick. Some Black IPA DNA in this one.

Canned September 10th 2018.

Pours almost black but I see some red highlights so I call it dark brown. Impressive head of tannish foam, lots of lacing.

Smells of chocolate, very little roasted malt, kinda sweet as in lactose, like in a Milk Stout.

No surprises in the taste. Reflects the taste to a T, body wise, it ends up rather thin in the finish.

Not a Boise brew that I would return to.

August 18th 3018 on the label.

Pours almost pitch black, could be a very dark brown..opaque. Nice head of tan foam, plenty of lacing.

It does smell milky, has the chocolate, hint of vanilla.

Milk chocolate flavours, vanilla, semisweet overall. Tasty.

Mostly medium bodied but does thin out in the finish.

Solid Milk Stout.
