Hazy yellow body, thick puffy off-white head. Traditional aroma of cloves, banana, and bready, tangy malts. Tangy wheat body with lots of clove and hints of banana, finishing a bit sweet for my taste. Crisp, clean, and fresh. Solid but unremarkable.

Cloudy yellow body, thin off-white head. Tangy wheat, wet hay, and coriander aroma. Flavor is bready and wheaty with coriander and clove, giving this beer a touch of hefeweizen character. Crisp finish, smooth with little lingering bite. Refreshing and flavorful without being overbearing.

12 oz bottle-pours a tan, rich head. Color is a deep cloudy reddish-orange. A hoppy with citrus aroma. Taste is alcohol, then sweet-malty & hopscome through. Not to my taste.

2005 bottle provided by Radiomgb at the Mondial Ratebeer tasting, 6/4/05. Ruby-garnet-chestnut body. Light tan head recedes to ring, fairly rapidly, with a bit of lacing on the glass. Smells of scotch, peated malt, bordering on smoke, with vinous, winey bock-like yeast, cherries, prunes, tart prune juice. FLavor is heavily bocky, quite true to style I would say. Lightly bitter chocolate notes, oily and winey, with some prunes and cherries and blueberries. Wonderful barley and deep earthy grains, reminiscent of Old Horizontal. Finish is light scotch-whiskey notes. Medium body, some thinning. Fluffy mouthfeel, with no alcohol perceived.

Bottle: Clear amber color ale with huge head with pretty good retention. Aroma of bitter and somewhat floral hops is definitely present. Taste is dominated by bitter hops as expected mix with very subtle sour ending which was enjoyable. Body is full ands carbonation is good which is more then I can say for other Victory products. Not over the top as other Imperial IPA and very well balance. Nice beer that I wouldn’t mind revisiting again.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet roasted malt. The flavor is bitter, nutty and has a strong roasted malt presence. The roasted malt lingers on the tongue.
