2009-10-13, draught at BJ Desert Ridge, AZ, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Hazy golden color; creamy head. There is a quite nice, but not too strong, fruity hop aroma (sweet oranges). Too much carbonation; good caramel flavor; the mouthfeel is quite dry, even if there is a medium body strength; the medium-strong hopping gives also some resins and fruit (bitter oranges) to this beer. Strong final. Pleasant.

2006-12-16, draught at the brewpub, Plano TX, 7-4-7-5-15=38
Hazy light amber color; thin head. The aroma shows some Cascade fruitness (abricots). Good body, malt, a lot of caramel, powerful hopping (they say Chinook and Cascade), of course with a powerful final (that still bears a lot of caramel). Very good.

Muddy blond color. Ordianry Hefeweizen with some wheat and spicy character, too much carbonated.

On Tap at BJ’s La Mesa. Very light watery to gold color with bright white head. Can’t make out the aroma. A hint of grain maybe. Nice light flavor. Seems a little citrus plus pale malts. Not a bad lawnmower beer.

On Tap at BJ’s La Mesa. Light copper color with lasting white head and good lacing. Solid grapefruit hop aroma. Nice grapefruit and slightly piney hop bitterness flavor. Not much malt noticeable to mix things up. Pretty good Pale.

On Tap at BJ’s La Mesa. Copper color with off white head that lasts and good lacing too. Aroma is too light with a hint of roasted malts. The flavor is pretty full with caramel malts and some hop bitterness to balance. There is also a slight nuttiness that adds interest.

On Tap at BJ’s La Mesa. Good looking Hefe. Hazy gold with nice bright white head. Typical sweet malt and wheat aroma. Flavor is sweet with the malts and wheat. Fruity hint there as well. Beer is a bit on the sweet side.

Fruity nose, small lingering head, coloured like old garnet. Very malty and chewy, this beer demands attention. Lingering finish, like it doesn’t want to leave. Much alcohol warmth. This beer has power. Don’t drink more than one or two if you’re going to be driving

Alcohol nose, I was ready to dislike this beer. then I tasted it. It had a strong oatmeal note, like a warm breakfast, with roast malt, and bittersweet chocolat. A lingering finish with a nice hoppiness. Dark colour and a tan head.
