Tap at the Sacramento venue. Pours clear reddish amber with a beige head. Pine aroma. Medium plus body. Flavor is resin/pine - very strong - and ambery roasty malt. Sort of red IPA. Tasty.

Draught on NYE 2019 at BJ's Montebello. I've had their Annual before and I have a feeling it's the same every year, but I'm not sure. Light hazy golden colour. Small white head. Aroma's of a triple: sweet, sugar, fruity, yeasty. Flavour is moderate sweet with light fruity sourness. Medium bodied. Alcohol is warming. Long finish, a little bit dry.

Tried on NYE 2019 at BJ's Montebello, our go to when we shop at the Mall. Not the first time I tried this - that was probably in 2001. Pours a clear(ish) dark brown colour and a creamy beige head with good retention. Aroma's: sweetish, mocha, roasted. Retronasal: sweetish, coffee, roasted, bitterish. Flavour is moderate sweet'n'bitter. Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel (it was on nitro). Long finish, moderate roasty bitter. Like almost all of BJ's beers: decent, but nothing spectacular.

Pours a light hazy amber colour and a small off white head. Aroma's: sweetish, fruity. Retronasal: resin, sweetish, bitterish. Flavour is bitter, resinous, moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Long earthy bitter finish. Basically a stronger version of Hopstorm.

Part of a flight (as the 20th Annual Grand Cru, at 10% ABV) on 10th Dec 2019 in the Laguna Hills BJ's. Light amber, no head. Sweet malty nose and taste, boozy and interesting.

Part of a flight on 10th Dec 2019 in the BJ's in Laguna Hills. Brown to amber body, wispy head. Piney hops rule the nose and bitter taste, some malty sweetness mid-sip, but the hop bitterness returns in the finish.
