Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Beautiful amber color, with small and not persistent head. Aroma of caramel, with light biscuits and very light phenol. Caramel flavor, without the crystal trap; good body strength, but the mouthfeel is rather dry; strong bitterness, with some resins.
Not as hop-forward and fresh as I would like, but enjoyable though; caramelly essentially.

300 yen from Nagano Trading, 7%. A nice amber color with a beige head. A nice hop bouquet of citrus & grapefruit. A hint of a caramel base overlain with a clean bitterness. Somewhat astringent but nice. An interesting balance between malt & hop.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with small off-white head which dissapates quickly. No lacing, medium/light body, medium/low carbonation, and caramel malt aroma. Taste is estery wheat and some clove. Not that great.

Pour is brown with a large tan head. Aroma is caramel malts a little sugar and a wee bit o hops. Flavor is mostly a heavy caramel malt with little else. Meh its an amber ale but heavier in body and a bit more flavorful than most.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 1/16/13

Aroma: The nose has some roasted malts, some chocolate notes, and some hints of ash as well
Appearance: This one pours a dark brown color with a small light brown head and some light lace
Flavor: The taste is roasty, with a little sweetness, burnt and ashy notes, and a some mild bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-full, though certainly not as full bodied, thick, and creamy as the description suggested. It also has plus carbonation, which takes away from the expected creaminess
Overall Impression: Overall, I found this one to be decent, but it wasn't a favorite for me. I don't have a ton to criticize or a ton to love. It's fine.

Bottle. Nose of coffee, tobacco, caramel, earth, a bit of cabbage. Rich amber with a low head. Bitter, minerally, and tart, with some vegetables. Astringent, weird, and not so nice. Something strange.
