12oz bottle from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. Golden amber with a trace of cream head; malty aroma; sweet caramel malt taste; some light herbal hops. Not like the ESBs I’m used to at home.

Thanx George for the bottle.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy copper to orange color. There was a one finger white foamy head that had a decent lacing all around the glass in a messy sort of way.
The smell started off with a biscuity/English maltiness (somewhat construed as \"soapiness\" to some but normal to the EPA drinker). Light caramel came in with a decent grainy/toastiness.
The taste was bready and had a decent caramel running about it, slightly toasty and grainy, biscuity as well.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium with a decent sessionable quality to it. The carbonation was there, but nothing overbearing.
Overall, good EPA to have and was happy to have an offering from Lake Placid without having to go to them.

At a tasting, thanks tom, small bubbly head, opaque black colour, quite light aroma of coffee and and cocoa, aroma of mud and charred wood, quite sour, light bitterness. Not good and nothing like a milk stout.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate and some roastiness. Sweetish flavor with milk chocolate and a drier roasty finish. Medium-bodied. Good.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, Buffalo, NY. Chestnut brown with a thin beige head; spicy malt aroma; some purple fruit from the roasted malts, and some powdered chocolate as well; and then a dry, nutty, finish. Not really a recognisable English style, but rather pleasant.
