Description
The year is 1993…

… and England have failed to qualify for the World Cup, 2 Unlimited are Top of the Pops with their dance smash No Limit, Shane Warne has bowled the ‘Ball of the Century’ and Rooster’s Brewing Co. has just hatched - forever changing the shape of beer in the UK. Originators and innovators of quality, new world pale ales, with an emphasis on flavour and aroma, our beers start to stand out and turn heads amongst a sea of brown beer, with Yankee (our flagship pale ale) leading the way.

Can. Morrison’s. Muddy dark brown. Half decent sticky lasting beige foam. Nose has dark chocolate. Well done white crusty loaf. Some dark cherry truffle. Some charred citrus. Taste has a light sweetness up front with a good heft of charred bitterness. Drinks nice and easy overall. Nicely juicy in fact. Good depth of bitterness to finish. Nice CDA.

(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 3 March 2026) Golden amber colour with brief head. Fruity nose with apricots, orange, herbs, hints of yeast and wood. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of apricots, citrus, herbs and wood. Low herbal bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tart and woody saison. Interesting, and quite tasty. Very nice.
