Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a creamy head. Hopped ale with a fuller-bodied strength, which is apparent but doesn't affect its hoppy taste too much. Some bitterness.

330 can from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear chestnut brown with a small whitish head. The aroma is nutty, brown bread, malt loaf, molasses, toffee raisin, sultana and toasted fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, nutty, toasted brown bread, malt loaf, pie crust, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, spice, wood, tannin and some pleasing alcohol warmth with a drying, woody finish. Medium to fulsome body and fine, supporting carbonation. Well done. Not sweet or particularly heavy. Pleasing.
