Keg
Dark amber color. Light aroma of malt, caramel, fudge. Weak body, with a sweetish taste, almost just caramel, and not bitter enough.

Bottle. Dark with a fast disappearing head. Light malty, slighty fruity aroma. Short finish. Not much for hops. Refreshing

Bottled. Looks good, this brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma was so much like boiled vegetables that I couldn’t focus on the rest. Flavor is mild, light roasted malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel and low on bitterness in finish. (051104)

500ml bottle. Darkish gold with thin tight white head. Bit of a sickly pale malt aroma, but ok in mouth and then some hop bitterness. Not overly wonderful, but for some reason I really like. Has some biscuity malt too.

On draught at U cerneho vola in Prague: Golden colour, medium-sized firm white froth, clear but very shy malty and slightly hoppy nose, sweetish and slightly hoppy taste, distinctive light hoppy aftertaste. Good, but not overwhelming.......

(Bottle 33 cl) Deep golden with a rather small head. Very soft and aromatic from the quality hops. Rather soft hoppiness. Nice full body with lots of malt-sweetness. Typical Czech premium.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark with the typical reddish hue, but - again - this has been added artificial colouring. Light in body but the sweetish caramel-like maltines combined with soft hops makes this a pleasant beer to drink. I’ve had this in versions named "Tmavý" or "Cerný", but it’s all the same "tmavé výcepni pivo.

(Bottle 50 cl) Golden with a decent head. Slight cardboardish but mainly malty without any pronounced bitterness. Actually a rather quenching and decent NA.
