Dark brown. Medium sized, short-lived head. Malty nose with chocolate and roast caramel. Feels and tastes weak, which of course isn’t a lie, but it does so in a very pleasant way. I can imagine why Czech dissidents would sit up all night discussing politics with this kind of beer.

(500 ml bottle). Moderate head, dark reddish brown colour. A very flavourful dunkel despite the low ABV - malty, rounded caramelly sweetness, low bitterness. Not bad - would like to try it on tap.
Rerate draught in Prague, compared to Krusovice Cerne: Sweeter than KC, smaller head, more carbonation, less hops, less roastiness, lighter body. Overall 13/20.

Bottle. Burned malt aroma, some metallic hops. nut-colored, brown cream. Agressive roasted base, burned sugar, good hop balance - sweetness never gets overwhelming. A bit weakish body, it is more like a Schwarzbier than a Dunkel. Sparkly mouthfeel. Aromatic roast aftertaste.

Golden coloured. Hint of greeen apples in the nose. Light bodied, rather dry, the hoppiness is less aromatic than in many tother Czech pilseners. Salty, slightly bitter finish. Average for a Czech pilsener, and definitely not as good as their premium version.

I'll disagree with Oakes here. Tasted like a bock, with rich malty flavors with hints at toffee and molasses. Med bodied.

Malty for a Czech beer, with some fruity hop flavours towards the finish. ..
