The name ‘Farmageddon’ came from late-night chats about what would be needed to survive the Zombie apocalypse? The answer seemed simple, brewing your own beer and raising animals for food were at the top of that list.

Bottle at home picked up from Tesco supermarche Crumlin. 5.0% version. . A lively light hazed brushed gold coloured pour with a big whipped cream rocky white head. Lots of yeast flakes floating around. Possibly infected. Aroma is farmyard straw, bretty funk, damp hay, pineapple. Flavour is composed of farmyard grains, straw, damp hay, mild brett infection, is interesting, but unintended. Lemon rind pineapple. Chalky finish. Palate is very lively prickly carbonation, light metalic finish. Abrasive.

Cloudy golden with a firm white head. Bright yet soft fruit, spice notes, a bit herbal, a hint of tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Finish is more of the same and lightly dry. Unexpected and highly enjoyable.

440 ml can, from KWM Wines & Sprits. ABV is 6.4%. Hazy brownish-orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grapefruity and piney American hops. The flavour is not too sweet, but has a sufficient malty base, followed by notes of grapefruit, bitter oranges and resin, and a distinctly bitter finish.
