On tap at Thimble Island, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings lots of lacto, with subdued floral hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is like pure yogurt, with tons of lacto, subdued floral hops and biscuity malt. Very yogurty palate, quite monolithically. Solid.

On tap at Thimble Island, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out earthy coffee notes, with a dry toasted biscuity malt base. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy coffee, toasted biscuity malt and light roast. Dry and toasty. Good stuff.

Sample at the source. Inky black color with a thin white head that dissipates. Lots of roasty chocolate and bits of caramel and toffee with hints of oak and vanilla. Tasty sipper.

Tap at the source Deep brown bordering on black with a thin tightly bubbled off white head. Huge coffee on the nose and flavor but the base beer has enough sweetness to counter and smooth that out nicely. Tasty coffee beer.

Tap at the source. Dark golden color with a hint of orange and a small white head. Grassy astringent hint of aspirin against a bready caramel malt base. This one was rough.

Crowler from the source. Slightly hazy deep yellow with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly recedes. Grainy light crackery maltiness with light earthy floral hops. Pretty decent lager maybe a bit fruity but decent drinker.

Bottle shared by JCwattsrugger. Thanks John! A near clear Amber color, soapy head. Aroma is orange marmalade, toasted grain and mild citrus. Ok, over 100 IBU?? Perhaps not. Or it is old... (John feeding us old IPA's??) the backbone is very malty and borderline sweet. The hop flavor is muted. Old school IPA right here.
