Pours a hazy murky straw from a bottle. Nothing much going on, flat and thin. Not very good.

Dark brown, standard 90s porter nose, a bit fudgey. Sweetish character, and a touch of chocolate. Old skool - if you’re doing this type of thing you really have to nail it, which this doesn’t.

Floral hops and a touch of toasty malts on the nose. The palate is similar, a bit muddled by yeast. Decent, the floral hops distinguish the beer from the hundreds of similar ones a little bit.

12oz bottle pours with a copper body, thin gold edges and a slight haze while supporting a thin white head. The aroma offers up pine hops, sweet malts and sort of a caramel toffee note. Not a very hoppy aroma. The taste is big with pine hop bitterness and hop resin that is filled around the edges with a less than desirable sweet red apple note as well as grapefruit and floral hops. This is nice and hoppy and resiny with bitterness but the ester and floral and citrus notes just don’t fit in with the sticky pine hoppiness.

Bottle from Bullwinkle’s Liquor in West Yellowstone, MT. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus/coriander and wheat. Near medium body. Flavor is quite zesty. Some wheat comes through. Zest is strong enough to mask hop identities. Pretty flavorful wit.
