Bottle. Pours deep brown to black with a medium tan head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt. Flavor is about the same, roasty and only lightly sweet with a decent coffee bitterness. Lightish body. Not bad but a bit flat and uncomplex.

Bottle - thanks RJ5020! Pours cloudy deem amber-brown with a medium tan head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is malty - caramel, biscuit, some pine and herbal aromas as well. Flavor is medium sweet, caramel, toffee, candi sugar, overripe citrus. Some bitterness as well, but not strong at all, with some odd herbal, almost floral notes as well. I can’t call it a bad beer, but it is definitely not in my wheelhouse. This is pushing sweet hoppy barleywine territory more than DIPA.

Bottle at RBWG. Pours bright ruby with a fine, creamy white head. Lots of freah raspberry on the nose. Medium sweet flavor with more cirao, fresh raspberry, not too sugary, not strupy, little honey character. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, more fresh, underripe raspberry, mild suggestions of honey. Tasty, good balance for the ABV.

Bottle thanks to Josh. Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has nice tart blackberry note with a very musty funk note and a hint of wet wood. Flavor is much more musty with wet wood and earthiness with a bit of thin tartness.

Tap at Mikkeller. It pours deep mahogany with a medium off-white head. The nose is bourbon, vanilla, toffee, caramelized banana, earth, wood and brown sugar. The taste is earth, wood, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, light alcohol, raisin, dark fruit and fudge with a dry finish. Med-full body, moderate carbonation. Smooth, flavoursome and well-balanced. Dangerously drinkable...

Bottle thanks to Josh! Pours a clear light amber with a tan head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has a strong acidic note with a bit of musty wet dog funk. Flavor has strong acid throughout with a bit of nail polish and light fruit with that odd funk note.
