Cask @ Gallaghers Pub & Barber Shop, Birkenhead. Golden with a creamy head. Has a heavy berry-sweetness in both aroma and taste, which is perhaps enhanced through its strength.

Bottle from the Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Actually, this was a bit of a gusher but I’m putting that down to travelling on 3 trains. Nose - dark chocolate and dry smoke. Light charcoal in fact. Taste - dry chocolate biscuit and a touchpre smoke. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet dry crunchy texture that continues through the finish. Overall - I’d put this into dry stout category.

Bottle from the Homebrew Bottle Shop in Oxton, Birkenhead. Appearance - golden with a slight haze. Nice head. Nose - looking for elderflower and it’s there if a little faint. Some wheat and citrus notes dominate though. Taste - the elderflower is definitely more pronounced now. Still some tangy lemon pith too. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - another solid citizen.

Hazy gold beer, patchy bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. This malts, very mild sweetness. Fair bit of floral bitter English hop. Light floral orange. Some pith. Floralness gets a little sweeter. Trace of sherbet. Dry finish. Interesting but quite bitter.
