Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and lots of coffee. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 140912

A dark brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, a smooth sweet chocolate with light grassy coffee grinds, espresso like, nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet chocolate porter, with smooth coffee notes, nice and quaffable. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 10 2012.

75cl bottle from Beer City, lot# 28032012/1, BB 10/20/2013. Orangée léger col beige épais. Arôme est bien mielleux avec ce léger bouquet noisette. Le tout garde ce profile agréable de miel et organique sur un côté fleuri et houblonné léger. Palais épais et mielleux presque huileux du miel en bouche, malt léger sur une pointe de pétillant et léger caramel. Le tout reste doux avec un côté fruité rappelant l’abricot, se termine en laissant un léger filament collant/sucré aux lèvres. Bonne bière qui ne mérite pas les scores imputés mais aussi bière qui à pu évoluer en recette avec le temps.

75cl bottle from BeerCity, BB 08/2013. Batch# 06/22011/05. Brun léger, col épais moka. Arôme malté grillé, côté café qui se fait plus présent en se réchauffant. En bouche, café bien en évidence sans pour cela devenir de trop surtout pour le faible niveau alcool. Rappelle un café frappé, sec et fin amertume, note caramel laissant une fine pointe de céréales. J’aurais bien aimé juste un tout petit peu de café en plus.

Wood clad barrel pour at Churchkey. Poured a dark amber color, slightly off-white head, plenty of lacing. Aroma was notes of malt, with a touch of hazelnut. Touch of sour notes, with some sweet malts. Interesting brew.

Hazy amber - brown beer, good off white head. Slightly soft and slightly syrupy palate, semi dry. Tinned fruits and syrup - peach, mango, apricot and orange, all very well joined up. Mild minerals and a trace of licorice. Finishes semi dry with mild prickly carbonation. Unusual sweet beer.

33cl bottle from Beer City, BB 10/2013. Brune foncée, col beige disparaissant vite. Arôme est somptueux avec ces graines de caroube prenant le dessus de façon très agréable, note de malt grillé/café avec une pointe d’épice et profile choco. En bouche, cacao/caroube bien présent accompagné d’un profile épais d’avoine donnant un léger profile grain/épicé. Palais est huileux avec ce fini de caroube allant vers un léger réglisse. Le tout est sec sur des notes de café avec un fini léger de houblon en amertume. Un régal.

33cl bottle from Beer City, BB 04/2013. Dorée légèrement brumeuse avec un col fin pétillant et crémeux. Arôme malté/grains, houblonné citronné avec un bouquet fleuri restant bien prenant. En bouche, malté sec, note houblon sur un profile fruité, palais est épais/grains, reste très fraîche avec ce côté citronné et herbacé. Facile à boire, légère et complexe à la fois.
