Gravity cask at day 2 of the 40th Pigs Ear Beer festival, Round Chapel Hackney, 04/12/24.
Almost clear amber topped with an off white cap that veers to the edge.
Nose is stewed fruits, herbs, grains, light spice.
Taste comprises dried fruit esters, biscuit, hedgerow, herb.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
So so ... a little on the twiggy side.

Cask @ Jolly Butchers, Stoke Newington. A black wheat beer with a slight tint towards an IPA. Good mouthfeel with a malty nature and a slight hoppiness coming through. Alright but the bar was set pretty high by some of the dark keg beers on tonight.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney, London. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Lots of doughy wheat, some orange and grapefruit, lightly juicy. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Vaguely syrupy. Citrusy hops to finish, certainly some wheat character. Not altogether bad.
