(500 ml bottle). My son brought me this beer from Prague - the cheapest he found in the supermarkets! The price explains the quality of the beer. A low ABV helles (only 3,2 %), light golden colour, moderate head, decent flowery sweet aroma, very weak body, little flavour and even less aftertaste - what there is, is "boiled" and boring. Tastes like a n/a beer.

Re-rate from bottle: Roasted, brown sugar and chocolate nose. Amber brown, low creamy brown head. Chocolate chip dough entry, nicely balanced by flowery and grassy hops. Medium to light body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Light roast and hop aftertaste. Still very pleasant to drink. Old Rating: 7/4/8/3/16. From tap. Dark brown, low head (mailnly due to serving I think). Nutty, chokolaty and roasted flavors. Full yet refreshing. Nutty aftertaste.

(330 ml bottle). Beautiful ruby colour, moderate head. Malty sweet aroma with hints of oak. Mellow flavour - a tad too sweet in my book. Low bitterness. Not a bad beer, but it lacks "bite".

A clear golden beer with a very small and fast disappearing head. The aroma is very inviting with sweet and hoppy tones. And the flavor is just like a czech pilsener should be very easily drinable with a faint sweetness to start with but then dominated by the very nice hoppy bitterness.

Beutiful red-brown beer with a small head. It has a nice aroma of a good malt blend, sweet with hints of liqurice. The taste contains no sweetness but a very dry hoppy bitterness - for the bitternes level not a suiting hop for my taste. It too contains hints of smoked malt - a little watery in the middle. Not a beer I''ll have again.

Beautiful ruby red colour. Firm head, nice lacing. Creamy toffee aroma with a hint of chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness, roasted chocolate and there''s also some violet flavour to be found. A bit thin and watery though.

Damn, if Staropramen is Interbrew, why can't I get it here? I had this at the White Horse, London...fiery amber; firm body, toasty; subtle hint of embers - similar to what you'd find in a wood-oven pizza; gets earthy towards the finish.
