Description
Our beer is brewed across two sites. The first is our original brewery at the Old Flax Store, this is where we began our journey in 2014, and is home to our LDS tap room. We expanded into our second much larger brewery, Sydenham Road, in April 2017. Between both sites we can brew up to 18 beers at a time.

The Old Flax Store is a Grade II listed building located in Holbeck, the spiritual heart of the industrial revolution. In 2014 we turned this derelict mill into a brewery, tap room and events space. This building is home to our first brewery, which takes up the ground floor of the building. Our second brewing site is also located in Holbeck, half a mile away at Sydenham Road, where 8 x 100HL conical FVs enable our total capacity at this site to reach 24,000HL.

On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Murky yellow colour, large white head. Very nice aroma and flavour of citrus, yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, some pine. Very rich mouthfeel. Lovely beer.

440ml can from Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is tangerine orange citrus. The flavour is strong bitter, with a crisp, fresh, juicy oily tangerine citrus, herbal, floral, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s a big Westie for sure with lots of bitterness throughout, but the conflicting tangerine orange doesn’t sit very well with me. It’s like the flavours are fighting with each other for dominance. The beer needs to be one or the other, a proper West Coast or a fruited IPA. Ok, but for me, an experiment that doesn’t really work.

440ml can from Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, big mango, aromatic. The flavour is moderate to light bitter and sweet, with a smooth, herbal, mango, metallic, floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. The can says it’s a sun drenched tropical IPA, which really isn’t true. It’s pure mango, ruined by the big perfume, floral nature of the beer. Not sure many people are going to enjoy this. I didn’t particularly!

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, a light sweetness. A light smoky kinda thing from somewhere. Soft cooling pine. Juicy peachy stone fruits hops. I'm struggling to pick up anything from the other 3 hops. Smooth finish. A winner an Eclipse IPA. No idea what the Australian Mountain aspect is or where the other 3 hops disappeared to. Confused.com. Very nice Eclipse IPA.

Black with a tan head. Good roasty malt notes, light smoke, dark chocolate, earth, caramel, light licorice. Full, creamy body. Finish has dark roasted malt, burnt coffee, some faint smoke, and a dab of sweetness. It’s a fine stout but doesn’t do much to stand out.

440ml can from ASDA in Watford, Herts. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top which doesn't linger. Hoppy, orange, grapefruit, pine, mango aroma and taste, pleasant bitterness going on. Best Northern Monk beer I've had for some time and it's in ASDA. Good stuff, will purchase more.
