Description
Our beer is brewed across two sites. The first is our original brewery at the Old Flax Store, this is where we began our journey in 2014, and is home to our LDS tap room. We expanded into our second much larger brewery, Sydenham Road, in April 2017. Between both sites we can brew up to 18 beers at a time.
The Old Flax Store is a Grade II listed building located in Holbeck, the spiritual heart of the industrial revolution. In 2014 we turned this derelict mill into a brewery, tap room and events space. This building is home to our first brewery, which takes up the ground floor of the building. Our second brewing site is also located in Holbeck, half a mile away at Sydenham Road, where 8 x 100HL conical FVs enable our total capacity at this site to reach 24,000HL.

440ml can. Almost opaque yellow with a small white head. Aroma of peaches, orange and lemon, mango. Taste is intensely hoppy, lemon zest, pithy grapefruit, juicy peach, mango and passionfruit, hoppy finish. Medium bodied but on the lighter end of the scale, moderate to high carbonation.

Can from Asda, Wycombe. Hazy blonde with a white head & middling fizz. Nice pillowy soft mouthfeel. Juicy tropical fruits, a touch of lemon, with some herbs and a bit of porridge (and I do love porridge!). The flavours aren't too in your face; it's a very well balanced brew. Doesn't taste it's strength and is dangerously drinkable for a double IPA. Very enjoyable; Northern Monk are still pretty good when they're not farting around with stupid flavours.

Northern Monk Canned Trio At Home #3 of 3. I thought I'd saved the based for last, with a large blast of chocolate in the initial sips, although its more boozy-sweet character took more hold after this, the chocolate is light but pleasant. Earthy notes are apparent in this enjoyable enough black coloured imperial. By the end of the glass the chocolate was heavy once again.
