Paddock Wood was established in 2002, and is one of Saskatchewan’s first, major microbreweries. We pride ourselves on our unique flavours and refreshing taste.
Our brews can be found bottled, canned and on-tap in liquor stores and restaurants across the province. Watch for tastings at your local liquor stores in Saskatoon and Regina.
We call Saskatoon home, so if you’re in the area stop by the brewery for a chat and a case of beer!

Bottle at the RBJG. Thanks to TimE. Black with a lacy head. Rather harsh aroma of soy sauce, coffee, burnt caramel. Rich, creamy, roasted-malt flavor. Well burnt, a bit fruity, with ok sweetness but somewhat harsh finish. Thin for an oatmeal.

Bottle (courtesy of joss!): A bit hazy, copper coloured, huge persistent beige head; very aromatic, a bit perfumed, hoppy nose with a solid caramelly background and hidden fruity traces; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, creamy MF, medium bodied; sourish sweetish-fruity finish with a hoppy "tail". Very drinkable, not too perfect.........

Huge dense head, between cream--colour and mango over reddish-brown/amber beer. Very nice nose of exotic fruit, hops with touches of mango, lytchee, grapefruit. Some cookey malts playing hide-and-seek behind. Hoppy, sourish-bitterish taste, just overclashing a cakey sweet-matly underbuild. Less fruity than the nose, if still quite nice. Grapey, bitter(ish) oranges, some lytchee left. On the reverse side of the coin, the finish is metallic-bitter, much more crude. Not really full-bodied, bit mineral water quality. The nose is fantastic. The rest OK to more than OK. Danke, joss

Bottle. Tropical fruit aroma (mangoes, peaches) Dark amber with a nice creamy tanned head. Light smoked, earthy, roasted notes, light body,edgy bitter hop notes. Woodsmoke retronasal.

Smell:Burnt malt notes, roastedness, hints of chocolate.
Taste:Smooth & creamy, a bit on the light side. More subdued than the aroma.

12oz bottle @Joe’s NYC Gathering shared by –pours a thin offwhite head with mahogany color. Aroma is nice dark malt-anise. Taste is dark malt, slight earthy hops. Light/medium body. Enjoyable.

Bottle at Alibi room. Wow, I hope this isn’t the best beer from this brewery, if so, I feel sorry for you people in Saskatoon. Deep gold, short lived white head. Musty hop nose. Lightly metallic medium hop profile, with a lasting but stale hop finish

Cloudy amber colour. Piney, woody notes with bright citrus and melon overtone....yuzu! Full body...bit too much carbo. Woodiness dominates, with bright fruit notes subjigated. Earthy malts back it up, with a footy yeast hint. Finishes bitter and woody. It’s ok.

Deep gold colour. Not much head but a nice sparkle. Heavy diacetyl on the nose - I know it’s part of the style but there are limits. Medium saaz and light bread. Again on the palate...just because you’re allowed diacetyl on the palate does not excuse a butterbomb! Bleh. And there’s a good beer under all this, too, which makes it all the more a shame.
