16/4/2019. Sample from Bag in a Box @ the 2019 Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours pale amber with a small short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of semi-sweet apples, wet tree bark, and toffee, with a little ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium to heavy sweetness, light acidic tartness. Moderate body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Tangy fruity vinegar/tart finish. Not bad.

Draught at Hawkes Cidery. It pours clear copper - amber with no head. The aroma is soft, ripe, pungent, musty, lemon - line, funk, dirt, eggs, brett and barnyard. The taste is dry, tart, vinous, hot egg sandwich apple cider vinegar, sharp lemon - lime, chips & vinegar, muth - pucker and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate. A bit rough to say the least. Not sure if I want my cider to taste like a egg sandwich....
