On tap at the Melvern location. Not looking forward to this since IPA is not one of my faves. It came with the sampler, oh well. Aroma is unique. it has almost a farmy cow manure attribute about it, but in a good way. Attractive to the olfactory, almost like a saison or lambic, how weird. Looks a little browner than the ubiquitous american pale yellow beer. Yes, initial taste is quite strong on the hops. However, I find that I can handle it without problem. Almost not enough bitterness to make it an IPA, more like a strong APA. More hops than the Wicked Will’s but is almost not offensive. Barely any carbonation. That farmy feel keeps its presence even in the background of the flavors. An IPA I can almost enjoy if it wasn’t for that terrible bitter linger on the finish, which just won’t quit.

On tap at the Melvern location. Ubiquitous pale yellow or just slightly darker than a typical pale yellow beer. Some floral hops can be detected by the olfactory. Tea froth head. taste is certainly hopped but not over the top. I thought the saison had more hops in it than this. As far as bitterness goes, a littla average on the taste buds. Wants to be an IPA but never quitte gets there. Finish is medium bitter clean hop linger.

On tap at the Melvern location. A little darker and more orange than the ubiquitous pale lager. Transparent with no haze. Interesting mild aroma of an old cigarette, but in a good way. No beer aroma to speak of. Initial taste is fun and interesting. No bitter hops can be detected. This beer is friendly and gentle. Easy to get along with, yet has just enough personality to let you know this is beer. Even seems to have some stout attributes hidden in the background. Finish is nice and tolerable, likable session brew. One of the best amber ales I’ve tasted.

Had this at the Melvern brewpub. Nice big black pour but does not seem to be as viscous as many sweet stouts. Good roasty stout aroma. Very attractive. Nice initial stout flavors which is followed by a bitterness that reminds me of old wet partially burned campfire wood. Barely any carbonation can be detected, but it is there in its own creamy way. Best Mckenzie so far. Finish is lingering charcoal or something burned.

Had this at the brewpub in Melvern. Nice frresh just plain good beer aroma, perhaps a little tart. My sample looked more like a good hefe than a pilsner. It was cloudy, hazy and straw colored. Tea froth head. On the initial tastes, very mild on the taste buds. Not much pilsner bite and I appreciated that. However, as the session continues, there is a buildning pilsner bite that is sneaking up from behind. Typical pilsner finish, medium bitter linger. Pilsner bite end medium to mild.

Had this at the brewhouse in Melvern. Good hefe appearance. Cloudy and strw colored. Interesting slightly sour aroma. Some gumball flavors and a little tart on the tongue without being overly fruity. This stuff is not sweet, nor is it overly spiced. It does have the essence of a good hefe without being over the top. Not overwhelming in any one of the attributes which make a hefe. Some banana and very little bitterness can be detected. Decent rather friendly brew.
