75cl Bottle at some beers with Jim Green. Murky amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of dead yeast, plastic, Vietnamese NHB signature. Flavour is medium sweet, dry, old socks, weird yeasty off-notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle from the Hanoi Taproom. Poured a hazy medium amber with a bubbly round white head. The aroma is caramel malt, yeast, red berry fruits, light vanilla, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a light, crisp, fruity, yeasty, apple, floral hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from the Hanoi taproom. Poured a clear straw colour with a mostly lasting fizzy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, light pineapple. The flavour is moderate to light sour, with a crisp, fresh, mineral, tart pineapple palate. Medium to light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Light and fresh. Sour but not too sour. A little sweetness in the finish. Easy drinking and perfect for the Asian climate.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy dark brown colour with a thin, broken off white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light roasty, nutty, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a slightly watery, caramel malt, nuttty, light sweet fruits, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Lacks body and defining flavours. Not entirely true to the style at all I’m sorry to say.

The aroma is toffee caramel malt, sweet red berry fruits, light alcohol, The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth rich, oily, sticky toffee apple, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. One of the better Furbrew beers. Really enjoyed this one.

The flavour is moderate sweet, alcohol bitter, with a smooth, grainy, warm alcoholic, citrus fruit palate and a lingering alcohol bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, malt, buttery, light fruit, floral woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich, fruity, liunt alcohol, sweet sugary, medicinal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Mildly infected I feel.

Tap at the Perfect Beer for You, Hanoi. Poured a hazy medium amber with a big lasting frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, grainy, mineral, earthy, floral perfume hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth, rich, light toffee malt, grainy, earthy, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. I’m not sure what hops were used here but the floral nature of the beer spoiled the enjoyment for me.
