Bottle shared at “Some Beers With Jmgreenuk, December ‘18. Fairly hazy reddish brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of dirty old washing liquid, dirt, apples, caramel, funk and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate sour. Medium bodied with a sickly palate and light carbonation.

Bottle at Den Haag in Zaandam tasting. Murky amber with offwhite head. Sour grain, strawberry gelatine, onion farts, plastics, very weird. Moderate sweet and bitter, sour. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at John’s back tasting. Hazy reddish amber with beige head. Flowery, soapy, apples, 🍎, caramel, some yeast, bitter herbs. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

75cl Bottle at some beers with Jim Green. Murky amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of dead yeast, plastic, Vietnamese NHB signature. Flavour is medium sweet, dry, old socks, weird yeasty off-notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle from the Hanoi Taproom. Poured a hazy medium amber with a bubbly round white head. The aroma is caramel malt, yeast, red berry fruits, light vanilla, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a light, crisp, fruity, yeasty, apple, floral hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from the Hanoi taproom. Poured a clear straw colour with a mostly lasting fizzy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, light pineapple. The flavour is moderate to light sour, with a crisp, fresh, mineral, tart pineapple palate. Medium to light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Light and fresh. Sour but not too sour. A little sweetness in the finish. Easy drinking and perfect for the Asian climate.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy dark brown colour with a thin, broken off white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light roasty, nutty, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a slightly watery, caramel malt, nuttty, light sweet fruits, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Lacks body and defining flavours. Not entirely true to the style at all I’m sorry to say.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a hazy dark amber colour with a round white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, sweet red berry fruits, light alcohol, The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth rich, oily, sticky toffee apple, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. One of the better Furbrew beers. Really enjoyed this one.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a hazy orange golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, big pineapple citrus, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, alcohol bitter, with a smooth, grainy, warm alcoholic, citrus fruit palate and a lingering alcohol bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
