Craft Beer Advent Calendar 2017
Dark color, near black. Smooth, a bit thin, good dark malts, not the Lager character that is expected, but a good "Stout".

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, with bready malt, some vanilla and a touch of caramel. Flavour is robust, with toasted malt, light vanilla and a touch of caramel. Rather bitter as well, but it works well enough. Nice stuff.

Bottle - Dark fruity and cocoa with some liquorice. Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Liquorice, dark fruit and bitter roast. Bitter, but still quite nice.

Dark brown. Thin head. On the nose, this is a bit on the fudgey side with a little touch of roast...clean and lagery though. Fairly big body, and it picks up some smokiness in the roast, while retaining that fudgey bit of sweetness. Pretty good balance, even tossing in a shot of alcohol in the finish. Not bad.

Medium dark brown color. Nice caramel, dark fruit and whiskey. Loads of caramel, like a caramel bomb, coke, dark fruit but too carbonated so mouth feel is a bit off.

Crystal clear deep amber and copper coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall just off-white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of pungent figs, prunes, raisins, pit fruits, apricots, malt, earth and a ton of alcohol - very nice throughout and incredibly sweet in the nose here - nice! Medium-bodied; Assertive sweet pit fruit flavours with caramel, apricots, toffee, grain, pure honey, treacle, butter and even a steady dose of flowers around - this is very nice, incredibly complex and super sweet throughout. Aftertaste shows a good malt backbone with some more assertive hops, but this is all about the aging, given that this is easy to keep for several years, this is one worth buying, keeping around and enjoying it many years later. Overall, a very nice beer and despite the fact that I got it across the whole of our country and that I bought it from another country, this beer is great and I wish I could have it for and even 'normal' beer store in Arlington, Virginia. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Viti Wine & Liqour in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 06-June-2015 for CA$5,50 sampled at home in Washington on 26-October-2017 after aging this properly for two+ years, and it turned out great and the time DEFINITELY helped out here!

Poured from 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Black with tan head. Roast malt with milk chocolate, vanilla, and chilli pepper. Interesting blend. Decently done, but wouldn’t have more than one.

Creamy yellow pour, white foam. Aroma has some Belgian spice and yeast thing going on. Prickly grass. Taste is creamy, sweetish yeast spices, hurmaa, pumpkin and some honey. Turns bit sour in the end. Hop bitterness there also. Nice and refreshing despite its abv.

Nice orange, not too much foam. Nose is fruity, some cherries and sour notes. Actually smells more like a sour. Tastes nice refreshingly sour, not too much wheat but still interesting. Different take on a weizen, pretty enjoyable.

650ml bottle from Canada Craft Beer Club. A very intense domination by Saaz hop with herbal notes, green grass aftertaste. Bread and cereal notes are also present to make a very well balanced bohemian pilsner that is right on the dot. Very pleasant to drink.
