(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 03/2016, thanks Henri, tiong’s tasting, 20160109) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate, burnt malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, a lot of sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A sweetened version of foreign stout.

Pours pitch black with a small white head. Aroma has hints of roasty malts, berries, blackcurrant, hints of earthiness. Taste is earthy, slightly roasty with hints of berries. Finish is smooth, slightly sweet and roasty with hints of blackcurrant. A bit weird.

Bottle at tiong’s, Espoo. Thanks to Mjs! BBE 03/2016. Colour is dark brown with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, some coffee, some chocolate and roasted malts. Quite weird.

Can 330ml. [ As Anchor Strong Beer ].[ Courtesy of olliejobbins ]. Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sugary, sweet malt, grass, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary malt, sweet malt, sugar - white sugar, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20150813]

Shared 330 ml can, brewed by Asia Pacific Breweries, Singapore. ABV is 5%. Brought back from South-East Asia by my son Steinar. Golden colour, white head. Sweetish aroma, malts and candy. Fairly nice flavour, noticeable malts but not too sweet, smooth indeed, very moderate hops.

0,33 boks på RBHD-samling hos Asle Bjørn: klar lys gylden med kort skum. Litt aroma av sukker/melis og sommerblomster, heldigvis ikke mais og kokte grønnsaker (som ofte dukker opp i slike). Smaken er i den søtlige retning, uten å bli vammel. Svært kort ettersmak med antydning til humle.

Shared can at RB/HD at ABE´s 07.11.15. Pale, clear straw colour. Diminishing white head. Weak aroma of icing sugar and grass. Pale malt and grass in taste. No off-tastes.

Can split at GBBF ’15, day 3, thanks to Ollie Jobbins 13/08/15. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is sweet, caramel, sugary, cereals, sugar puffs. Taste comprises aspartamic qualities, bland and sweet in equal doses, cereals, light bread. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, touch of boost. Not great.
