Tap at Craft Beer Picnic 2017 in Osaka. It was a somewhat muddy honey gold with a malty aroma. Like an English IPA rather than a Session IPA. It had no obvious flaws but was kind of boring, not enough hops for the style in my opinion.

Tap at Takumiya. I haven’t had a beer from this brewery in awhile (due to Ho hum to off brews) but figured I’d take the plunge. A glowing gold that is completely opaque with a tangy Clive and wheat aroma. Medium to light bodied with soda bread, a bit of egginess (in a good way), wheat, cloves and white white pepper. Better than I expected.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Hazy pale gold with a low head. Bready, slightly pissy nose, grapefruit, wheat, crackers. Light body and flavor, ok hops, mint, orange, crackery malt, with a peppery, bitter finish. Quite minty overall. Ok but a bit bland.

Bottle from Takumi Craft Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, resin, floral hop, light toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light dry, grainy, toffee resin, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The floral aftertaste is really not pleasant. Not a beer I could drink in quantity.

Bottle at Takumi Craft Beer, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is wheat, light banana, light citrus. The flavour is light acid citrus with a light, dry, crisp, acidic crushed banana palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Na’ama’s place. Thanks Na’ama. Clear deep golden with no head. Aroma of malt, a bit of toast, caramel. Sweetish malt flavor with some caramel, light toast, and a mildly bitterish finish. Light to medium-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, quite clear dark orange color, shrubby green aroma with some biscuit in the back, sweet jammy and biscuit flavor with some herbal tea notes, light to medium bitterness. Drinkable but not too exciting.

Bottle at Nagoya station. Could be light orange, murky, forms a white bubbly foam in the bottle. Aroma is wheat, dough/yeast and spices, very punchy, quite fruity all well mostly orange peel and lemon or yuza. Taste is citric sour and quite bitter, well balanced. Dry finish dusty texture. Good.
