Bottle (bought in Gifu, sampled in Tokyo)
Dark ruby color, creamy beige head, some lace. Sweet caramalt aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, caramel, a bit grainy maltyness. This "amber ale" (altbier??) has certain industrial vibe in it.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya station. Pours light yellow, looks a bit watery but has nice foam. Has some carbonation. Aroma has a bit of malts, feels fresh although there is a bit of cardboard too. Taste is crisp, bitter and spritzy. Not bad as a pilsener although it could use a more solid body.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya Station. Pours black with a beige foamy head that is gone pretty fast. Aroma has a bit of mild roast, some watery hops and malt base. Taste is relatively smooth, a bit of carbonation attacking the tongue - but in general light body and velvety roast flavour covering the sensors. Somewhat sour mid-taste, transferring into longer slightly bitter and dry finish. Above average schwarzbier, quite drinkable but not that exciting.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya station. Pours pale golden, somewhat hazy with a small white top - that is reducing fast. Aroma is quite sour, yeasty - wheat displaying itself quite clear. Has some fruity notes too with a bit of citrus. Taste sensation is is a bit sour at first, together with snappy carbonation and citrus. Snappiness fades away, leaving full yeasty malt sweetness lingering for a while longer. Aftertaste is mild and fruity. Although not too complex, this beer is quite nice thirst-quencher, would fit perfectly a beautiful warm and sunny day.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya Station. Pours deep amber with a nice head - that goes away fast, leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is very malty, but also filling your nostrils with a thick, almost soapy sensation. Some fruity undertones also there. Taste is quite smooth, bitterness mellow. Soapiness still there but also malt biscuits and light bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied, easygoing beer - won’t remember much about this one but it feels fine at the moment.

330 ml bottle from Seijo Ishii @ Nagoya station. Red miso lager - I wonder how this miso was used in the brewing process? It definitely pours a bit red, well, more like reddish brown to be exact. Hazy, foam with some brown notes, dissipating fast. Aroma is quite sweet, some alcohol, cookies and peach. When it gets warmer then aroma improves, there is something salty now, also sweet flowers. Taste sensation is strong at first but not so much when I try to elaborate. Fruity, malty - but not too sweet. Can I taste some umami? Somehow it doesn’t feel to be very balanced, a bit rough from the edges. Aftertaste is bitter and quite short. Hoppy and watery. Overall, interesting take and I salute for using local Japanese ingredients to make this beer more interesting. I do like the idea and concept - but I also think that it is possible to improve from here.
