330 ml bottle from Seijo Ishii @ Nagoya station. Pours clear amber with a foamy top. Top doesn’t stay though. Aroma is quite malty - reminding me some stronger lagers where alcohol is penetrating through from the sweetness. Some sweet candy, mixed with herbal liquor. Taste is quite malty as expected, there is also a lot of bitterness that is masking the alcohol. Unfortunately, you can’t still feel any hop aromas and the aftertaste is quite short and feels somewhat robust. Not my favourite beer but not too bad either.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya B2 at Nagoya station. Pours golden, quite clear, with slight carbonation. Small head and even that reduces only to some lacing. In aroma, you can feel some refreshing floral hops, fruit sweetness and a bit of brown bread. Taste is quite delicate - refreshing, hops are contributing a bit to bitterness - but it’s not overwhelming but quite subtle. Some malt sweetness in the background, also in the aftertaste. Overall, a nice beer - could imagine myself having several of those while sitting outside in summer.

350 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya station. Aroma is... funny. I guess there is some malt, cardboard glue, raw potato. I would have expected a bit more hop character but it’s not really there. Taste is also... funny. There is some old grass, pear sweetness, finally ending up in a couple of bitter notes from hops. Perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste, although drinkable. Interesting experience, no regrets but not really sure if I want to repeat that again.

330 ml bottle from Takashimaya basement, Nagoya station. Pours with a nice top, color hazy copper. Aroma is not very hoppy, more like sweet toffee, malts, caramelized sugar. Taste resembles IPA a bit more but not completely. Sweetness shadows the alcohol content, hop bitterness comes out in the aftertaste. Feels creamy. Overall, not really an IPA as I know them, a bit too sweet, but I am happy I decided to try this.

0,33 l bottle from Seijo Ishii at Nagoya station. Pours with a small white head, color is golden. Aroma is malty, some dry cardboard. Taste is quite usual pilsener taste - hop bitterness mixed with some bread. Aftertaste is interesting, it turns somewhat sweet and I can feel... glucose candy? Overall not too bad of a pilsener, representing perhaps a good average. Would I buy it again? At this price probably not.

----update on tap at Rockin Hearts------- Kind of surprised to see this is 6%, A clear amber brown. Caramel & chocolate in the nose. Very soft bodied & smooth. The taste is grainy, lightly malty caramel, nutty and a bit roasty in the finish. OK.The aroma went down, taste went up as did the overall so it went from 2.9 to 3.2 ---old review------6% draft at Bungalow. A nice amber color with a malty caramel aroma. The taste is not balanced, bitter, rough, greenery not at all a true Vienna lager. Not truly terrible but average at best.

Bottled. Light to medium amber color. Nose of caramel malt and some citrus hops. Ok caramel and toffee flavors, fruity, orange, some grassy hop. Not bad, but pretty lame, and again, \500? Yona Yona is half the price and much better.

Bottle. Medium gold. Faint aroma of malty grains, grass. Simple. Light, clean malt flavor, nice bitterness. Simple though clean and hoppy in the North German style. Could this be the same as the Kinshachi Blue\? It has the same bitterness, though seems a bit less interesting. It is a bit better then the premium major beers, but costs more than 2 times as much and isn’t worth it.

609 yen for 10oz at Bungalow. Nice dark black pour with reddish tints around the edges of the glass & a thick creamy tan head-a great looking beer. The aroma is chocolate with toffee notes. Wow, quite a rich beer. Thick, viscous oily mouthfeel with a strong toffee, figs, plum & chocolate taste. This is the nicest beer I have had from Kinshachi. Really good stuff. I may be overrating this as it was far beyond my expectations... I need to drink it again side by side with a different top stout to judge it accurately...

Clear red brown beer, aery beige head, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, sugary, some dried fruits, toast, bit nutty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little sugary, bitter touch, some caramel, bit salty, toast, thin. Aftertaste: salty touch, mocha, umami, bit toasted, hint of dried fruits, bitter touch, but overall a watery impression. Too bad, cause the smell was so promising!
