Ever so slightly hazy peach and copper coloured body with a rather large four to five centimetre tall tan and off-white head. Aroma of grass, citrus, pine, grapefruit, a lot of malt and earthy and biscuity grain, along with a bit of alcohol and astringency towards the end. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavours show at first with a lot of biscuity and grainy notes, also showing some alcohol and citrus notes, but the hops surely dominate with the grapefruity and piney notes by far the strongest. Aftertaste shows a great balance of malt and hops with the hops coming right afterwards and blending well, but providing a lot of complexity with the grapefruit, citrus, orange, pine and resin all coming through towards the end. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA that doesn't show 9,0%, but does show closer to 7, but still leaves a nice complexity and balance throughout and shows some apricot and fruit notes as well. Good to sample and if you like Imperial IPAs, this one is worth grabbing if you can find it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-October-2018 for US$2,49 sampled in my hotel room in Basking [Robbins] Ridge, New Jersey on 20-November-2018.

Ever so slightly hazy copper and light bronze glowing beer with a nice three centimetre tall just off-white head that fades almost like a soda with just a sliver of a head on top. Aroma of fresh grassy hops at first, but definitely noticeable underneath is sour and tart with green apples, light citrus and a good deal of funky yeasts. Light-bodied; Strong soured and tart flavour at first with the citrus, grass, hay, a little earth, some yeast notes and a lot of sweetness towards the end, mainly from fruit, but also from some pure caster sugar. Aftertaste shows the funky yeasts, bright soured and tart notes, a lot of grasses and a dry fruity flavour that shows some stone fruits coupled with citrus. Overall, a nice and very interesting beer that shows well throughout with the soured and tart notes front and centre with a lot of fresh hop and resinous notes throughout, but very easy-drinking, even easier than you'd expect! Great to try and well worth grabbing if it's around! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$2,69 sampled at my house in Washington on 26-October-2018 in advance of running the USMC Marathon in two days for the eighth time.

16 ounce can. Honey gold pour has a slight haze. Small bubbly beige head. Sour citrus malt nose. First sip yields tart, citrusy malt flavor. A bit of pine as well. Soft, sour palate is eminently drinkable. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with more resiny pine notes.

On tap at Manayunk, pours a dark reddish pink with a small pink head. Aroma brings out tart back currants, maybe a little apple acidity in there. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of modestly tart black currants and apple acidity. Tart and light acidic. Decent.

On tap at Manayunk, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a touch of earthy coffee. Clean and pleasant. Decent.
