Dark brown, thin head. Sweet, rich, chocolate, pretty nice balance on this. Not sure it’s got the condensed milk thing… I mean it's not exactly bringing back to those morning coffees under that banyan tree in Hanoi, but it is a fine brew.

Hazy, sort of dullish, candied apricot taste, quite sweet. Goodness, unbalanced, i think that’s ester overload? A bit much for me.

Amber and bright. A fair bit of caramel sweetness, I’d say pushing the limits. Touch of bitterness and a clean sweet finish. Would like more rich bread if it’s going to be this sweet.

On tap at Ocean Beach brewpub. Opaque black pour. Small tan ring. Roasted malt aroma. Notes of soy sauce and licorice. Rich and roasty with earthy rye notes. Molasses, dark chocolate and burnt ends. Sticky to a fault. Some spiciness. Nicely done!

On tap at Ocean Beach brewpub. Translucent brown color. Earthy roasted malt aroma hints at chocolate and licorice. Flavor is sweet chocolate, dark malt and treacle. Full and rich. Maybe some dark brewed tea and Worcestershire sauce in the finish. Really well done.

On tap at Ocean Beach brewpub. Amber orange pour. Creamy beige cap. Earthy malt aroma hints a green coffee beans and rich earth. Toasted malt flavor is slightly sweet with a hint of bright coffee and cocoa. Added notes of wood on the backend. Delicious.
