Pours slightly cloudy, amber with a short tan head. Aroma is breadheel, orange-peel, malt. Taste is a dusty, soft bitter of peels..... Bread, herbal hops, resin, pepper. Slightly sticky.....dull.

Hazy bronze and copper coloured body with a bit of an orange glow and a nice, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, apricots, oranges, pine, grapefruit and some solid malt notes, all with a hint of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and nutty flavours with some good malt backbone, a tiny bit of the hops noticeable in the smell with only the herbal and grassy ones coming through in the flavour. Aftertaste shows some malt notes, a little caramel sugars and a tiny amount of hops. Overall, a bit subdued, especially for the style, but the dry hopping was present as evidenced by the nose, but the flavour and complexity simply weren’t there - this is more of an APA, if that. I sampled this 50cL bottle purchased from Ridgeview Liqour in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 29-July-2012 for US$2.25 sampled at home in Washington on 18-June-2013.

Tap at OF. Thick, yeasty orange-tan body. Steady white head, creamy. Zesty orange, grapefruit rind aroma. A nice example of the White IPA style, lots of citrus dominated hop tones. Very yeasty, which really completes the picture. Great beer. Green Bay does White IPA right!

Sample at the Hills Market beer tasting on 05/30/2013: Dark reddish-brown color with a medium tan head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and maple. Medium body with flavors of maple, roast nuts and doughy malt. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

smells a little sharp on the nose. looks like hefe. bright hop liter beer. sharp corner of throat thing settles in. starts to get rudely citrusy like chewing on fresh green grapefruit rinds. same with finish. must say, has pretty good co2 that takes the edge off.

2013 rate, different beer...Tap at Old Fashioned. Hazy amber-orange body, rising carbonation bubbles. Thin, oily head. Big, sweet, rich, lots of what I would assume is candi sugar. A sugar cinnamon edge cools down the alcohol. A little odd, imperfect creature, but OK..especially for a 2 dollar pint. Sort of tastes like someone dropped malt extract in a fermenter and carbonated it. Smooth and sweet, but just too big for it’s own good. The caramel sweetness is overbearing. Not offensive, just overly sweet and sugary. Nutmeg, light clove. Odd malt extract fraud. 2023 rate - Bourbon Barrel 10.3% version. The barrel really helps balance out all the flavors. Sweet, heavy malts, some fruity belgo-yeast nuances, oak, bourbon. Good. 7-3-8-3-16

Black, with a tall, thick, dark brown head. Aroma is powdered chocolate, herbals... Taste is powdery, dry chocolate, with an odd herbal bittering from the juniper....like a licorice, but not quite. Hints of black IPA-ness... Interesting.
