A hazy amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized and breadish malt, some honey. Taste of caramelized malt, nuts, bread, honey, mild spicy hops.

Amber with a creamy white head. Grassy, herbal, caramel aroma that comes together nicely. Dry with a mildly bitter taste. Underlying biscuit and caramel sweetness. To the lighter side of medium, balanced carbonation. Nice!

Deep amber with brownish notes. Creamy tan head. Aroma of bananas and toffee. Nice. Almost more Dunkelweizen than Weizen but nonetheless labelled the latter at the Brauhaus. Mildly sweet up front, moving to mildly bitter at the finish. Pleasant stuff with the only real flaw being the watery texture at the finish. Nice.

Swing-top bottle direct from the brewery. Deep gold color with a frothy head that lingers. Less than alluring aroma full of old shoe and mixed cereals. Redeemed to large measure by the nicely balanced taste which is bittersweet, dominated by caramel up front and finishing with a mild, grainy bitterness. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Mixed bag.

Bottle thanks to Silke, direct from the source. Hazy, pale gold with a frothy, white head. Herbal and grainy aroma. Mild honey undertone. Taste very mildly sweet up front, grainy and mildly bitter at the finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Silke, direct from the source. Wood smoke aroma with mild bacon undertones. Taste is bittersweet with increasing tartness at the end. Well rounded and inviting. Medium bodied, above average carbonation. Nice!

Pale gold with a frothy white head. Grassy, herbal aroma with lots of lime. There seems to be some confusion as to the intended style since I‘ve seen it classified as both IPA and Pilsener. Goes down like a Radler in the end. Mildly bitter with a lemony citric note most of the way through. Medium bodied. Drinkable.

Direct from the source, thanks to Silke, from tap into the flip top bottle. Deep amber, hazy, with a frothy to creamy white head. Aroma of honey, bubblegum, a bit floral, and with noticeable apricot. Dry with a mild but crisp bitterness that lingers. Medium body, soft to moderate carbonation. Best of the half dozen I’ve had so far from the brewery of my old (German) hometown.
