Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a huge tan head with good lace. Golden body underneath. Aroma of flowers, dryness and honey. Taste is candi, and way too sweet for a triple. Light bubbles and somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Under attenuated!

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a hazy golden body and an off-white head. Aroma of table sugar, tangerine and other citrus. Taste is pine, sugar, bitterness, and a little bit of straight hop resin. Light bubbles. Bot amazing, but not bad either.

(Cask) Poured deep amber and hazy with medium sized and white head. Aroma was mainly fruity. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Beer tasted of malts, hops, fruitiness, bitterness, molasses and sweetness. Finished malty.

(Draught) Didn’t resemble a "normal" Belgian tripel at all but it didn’t matter as this beer was pleasing to drink. Poured amber and hazy. Head was medium sized, white and lasted long. Strong hoppiy aroma was also fruity. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Malts, hops, grass, sweetness, pine and bitterness could be found from the taste. Bitter and malty aftertaste.

(Cask at Chelsea Cask Festival) Amber and lightly hazy. Small white head. Molasses and hops in aroma. Medium bodied palate with little carbonation. Malts, hops, sweetness, fruitiness, bitterness and grass in taste. Hops and bitterness in afertaste. Too sweet aroma but otherwise ok.

Cloudy golden orange tinted body with a nice sized (five centimetre tall) slightly off-white head - looks exactly right for the style. Aroma of corn, coriander seed, curacao, nutmeg, a bit of peppercorn and a few grains of hay. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep strong potent alcohol and wheat flavour with a pronounced belgian yeast strain and a long-lasting meaty and curacao flavour - odd mix, but definitely noticeable. Aftertaste has some residual tannic and dry qualities, but the yeast and wheat wins out. Overall, a good beer for the style, strong and slightly more yeastie and dry than most wits, but definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 25-July-2009 in Washington, DC, sampled at home here in Washington on 23-October-2009.

Aroma: Some yeast/dough in the nose, a bit of fruit, sweet and sugary, caramel, a touch of vanilla
Appearance: Pours a hazy dark orange color with a thick and puffy white head and lots of lace
Flavor: Relatively sweet and malty, quite a bit of yeasty flavor with just a hint of funk and another hint of hop bitterness
Palate: Has a pretty full bodied feel, well hidden ABV, and the right amount of carbonation
Overall Impression: I found this to be a pretty solid tripel. It is a nice looking beer for sure. Overall, I would describe this as a good beer. I enjoyed this one quite a bit, and found it to be a solid American take on the Belgian style, if not completely traditional for the style.

Aroma: Fairly muted, not much hops here unfortunately, some citrus, light, but not bad
Appearance: Hazy orange-brown color, about an inch of lasting off-white head, quite a bit of lacing on the glass as well
Flavor: Flavor is mostly bitter hops with some slightly off citrus flavors that just don't work quite right
Palate: Nice medium-full body, creamy and solid mouthfeel, just a touch of alcohol burn
Overall Impression: With as many good ones as there are out there (every brewery is making hop bombs these days), if your trying to make a IIPA, you've got to do better then this...
I really felt that this beer was just a bit lacking, from the subdued nose to the flavor that was decent, but just a bit off, this beer just doesn't quite hit the mark. Even from a style I love, and a great looking beer, with a nice body and mouthfeel, it just wasn't everything it could have been. Have to admit, it grew on me just a touch as I drank it (probably had the taste at a 5 after half the beer), so maybe it would grown on me more if I have it again? Solid and drinkable, but not a top notch DIPA.

Bottle thanks to Cletus. Pours with a nearly clear yellow body with a fluffy, and somewhat large white head atop. Not nearly cloudy enough for a wit beer, but I digress. Aroma of coriander, dryness, light clove, fresh tobacco, tumbleweed, jasmine, lemon peel and a touch of candi sugar. Interesting. Taste starts off sweet and fruity with citrus notes, and ends bone dry and spicy. Yeast reminds me a lot of the Unibroue yeast. Candi sugar notes. Bubbly mouthfeel. Interesting "wit".

A hazy golden wit with a thin white head. A nice fruity aroma, banana, a bit of catnip. In mouth, a nice light oily mouth, fruity esters, bananas and cloves, rather silky. Medium bodied. Tap at BCTC 2009
