Apricot, orange, caramel malt, and grapefruit peel aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate white head. Moderately sweet apricot, orange, caramel malt, and moderately bitter dry grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Nice - my favorite of the TexHex beers.

Bottle thanks to Jay J! 9/20/23. Dark red-brown, medium tan head, average retention. Aroma of cherry, strawberry, toffee, oak, vanilla, whiskey, plum. Taste is plum, cherry, port, whiskey, oak, vinous notes. Too much port. Not much bockiness in the taste. Okay.

12 oz. bottle. Pour a clear, orange color, with a big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is caramel, chalk, pine sap, toffee, and grass clippings. Sweet and malty, with a faint, sticky bitterness. Light, malty, and slick. Not great.

Single from my Kroger mix a six. Super fresh, but no date on the bottle; shame. Pint glass back at my air BNB. Huge beige head. Clear, classy amber pour. Honey Nut Cheerios, flour & subliminal pumpkin spice on the nose. Nutty, sweet cream, un-toasted brown bread, nearly completely lacking in bitter contrast. First few sips are good hydration, but I stopped forcing it once I got my notes. Pass.

Single from Kroger. Pint glass back at the BNB. Milko-like pour. Classy gold once it settles; lingering froth. Sour, floral, apple nose. Not really familiar. Sweet, grainy, apple malt, sort of a blonde ale taste. Floral earthy finish that reminds me of tea. Almost flat carb, chewy feel. Really odd & I'm not a fan.

Take home flight of 12 oz cans from the local liquor store. Saved this for the hottest day of the year. Nice refresher. Subtle juicy grapefruit flavors. Thought this would basically be a grapefruit seltzer, but there are soft beer notes hidden in there. Barely a straw grain overpowered by ruby red. In the right setting, this is quite nice, but I have to be in the mood for something like this.
