Description
Beavertown was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. At first established as a brewpub in De Beauvoir Town, East London as part art of the Duke's Brew and Que experience. Expanding means moving! In 2012 to Hackney Wick and in 2014 to Tottenham Hale.
In June 2018, it was announced that Heineken would be buying a minority stake, so that Beavertown could spend £40 million on a new brewery and visitor site. The new brewery was launched in 2020, with a capacity of 500,000 hectolitres, a ten-fold increase in their previous capacity.
As of 7 September 2022 Heineken has taken complete control of Beavertown and now has 100 per cent ownership. Founder Logan Plant will stay on as an adviser.

Can at Nando's, Islington. Pleasing tropical and citrus flavours up front but it quickly gets very watery with a short dull finish. Not bad for an alcohol free brew though.

Can at home, thanks to Sharon for picking up on Waitrose order, 18/06/24. Clear golden with a just off white cap that thins some but retains. Nose is orange zest, grass, hint of grapefruit, toasted malts. Taste comprises grapefruit, grass, citric tinged straw, melon, hint of pineapple. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Passable macro-esque supermarket hops.

Bière 50 cl trouvée à Londres. Belle robe noire, nez sur le rôti, en bouche, notes de café et de malt brûlé mais elle reste légère, pas trop compacte. Sympa sans être très complexe.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Tahsin. Pours clear, relatively light brown with a creamy, beige head. Medium sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted malts, chocolate, dark malts, toasted biscuits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more rounded dark malts, brown bread, chocolatey malts, mild bitterness. Easygoing.

Can from Asda, Dyce. It pours clear golden - yellow with a handsome fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, subdued tropical/stone fruit character, pineapple chunks, gummy candy and pic n mix. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, pithy, zesty citrus vibes, tropical fruit character (but hard to pinpoint specifics), touch green/grass, grain, nip of spice and some alcohol prescence in the backdrop with a shortish, dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Drinks fine, but very much feels like a supermarket craft beer.

Keg draught at Skehan's, Nunhead. Very light golden, but not quite straw. Clear with visible carbonation and a small white head. Lots of lacing. Perfumed floral aroma, light notes of stone fruit and tangerine. Quite a lot of malt in the taste for such a tiny beer, with some lip-smacking notes of apricot. Finish is short. Watery body with extremely heavy carbonation. OK, it's Beaverken, but it's not too bad.

Due to the fact that I was unable to use Ratebeer for several months and because of technical reasons, no detailed evaluation is possible.
