Description
Beavertown was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. At first established as a brewpub in De Beauvoir Town, East London as part art of the Duke's Brew and Que experience. Expanding means moving! In 2012 to Hackney Wick and in 2014 to Tottenham Hale.
In June 2018, it was announced that Heineken would be buying a minority stake, so that Beavertown could spend £40 million on a new brewery and visitor site. The new brewery was launched in 2020, with a capacity of 500,000 hectolitres, a ten-fold increase in their previous capacity.
As of 7 September 2022 Heineken has taken complete control of Beavertown and now has 100 per cent ownership. Founder Logan Plant will stay on as an adviser.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to LKS. Hazy amber beer, tiny pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thinnish malts, touches of caramel and cream. Nice winey vibe with a modest Calvados apple vibe. None too spicy here. Little caramel before a light semi dry finish. Nice.

Taste of green organics, a little weed, a touch of vauge hop burn. The malt is very dry and light. Passible.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Waitrose. Pours murky yellow-gold with a small, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with a little flinty dryness, semi-ripe citrus fruits, some minerality, nips of pine and rind. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, a touch flabby, more mild flinty minerality, lemon peel. So so overall, drinkable, nothing remarkable about it, though.

For no abv it is very good. Hops aren’t bitter but rather pillow and mesh well into the surprisingly full body. Bierkokig ams

(very) pale yellow/golden pour with a small white head. Aromas of pine, hops and citrus. Taste similar with some malt/grain in addition. Quite sessionable (given the low ABV), but nothing mindblowing.

Bottle, small bubbly head, light hazy yellow colour, lots of vinous notes, apple, rust, roots, hints of acetone and spiciness, lightish bitterness, just a whiff of sweetness, but overly quite dry. Nice and interesting.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Waitrose. Pours clear, light gold with a small, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour, mellow citrus rind, dry pale malts, nips of pine needles - not a ton going on. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some crisp pale malts, dried citrus rind. Drinkable enough but a little pointless.

Clear light yellow. Aroma is unfermented wort light peach light lychee. Taste is light sweet and sour lime with unfermented wort + a fine sweet lime finish. Some interesting flavours but the wort is overpowering the rest. Meh.
