Description
Flying Dog Brewery is a craft brewery located in Frederick, Maryland. It was founded in 1990 as a brewpub in Aspen, Colarado by George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre. Demand for Flying Dog beers quickly grew beyond the brewpub's capacity. In 1994, the company opened a 30-barrel brewery (Broadway Brewing Company) in Denver. Looking to expand again in 2006, Flying Dog purchased Frederick Brewing Company in Frederick, Maryland and began producing beer in both Maryland and Colorado. In December 2007, Flying Dog announced that it was closing the Denver brewery and would solely produce beer in its Frederick facility.

Bottled. Pours dark and darker. Wow - the alcohol predominated for me, some malt and chocolate.

A clear reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong reddish brown malt, spices. Taste of strong dark malt, resins, some dried fruits.

Old rating from 06-08-15 - 330ml bottle from Utobeer in Borough Market, London. Pours back home in jersey, it's golden in colour with a small white head. Aromas of orange & malt. Tastes very much of the ABV level with fruits as a after thought as well as bitterness. Feel of medium carbonation. Overall a bit of a let down

Bottle. Not a great fan of this style of beer. This is not bad though. Carbonated, with a dark goldish color. Aroma is citrus with a slight wiff of hops. Taste, says it’s sweet but I don’t think it’s that sweet. Also slightly citrus. I would recommend.

Bottle. Reddish copper color with a giant head that disappeared quickly. Aroma was spruce and citrus. Taste was also spruce and citrus with just a touch of a malty flavor.
