On draught at Lazy Chameleon in Powell, OH. Amber color with a thin light beige head. Little lacing is evident. Aroma of hops and a little pine. Medium body, with a lightly spiced hop flavor that fades much too quickly. There are shades of malt as well. The finish is decently hopped, and I think this would be a better brew if it had mroe staying power.

The colour is almost bright orange with a very thin off-white head. The smell was really nothing special, just an average malt smell. The taste was acceptable, a bit of the wheatie characteristics, but not too many of them, it was medium-bodied which was nice. The beer's flavour didn't last too long, but it was a decent all-around beer. I had this on tap at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York.

Dark in colour, especially for a barley wine. The beer poured with a bit of head as well, which is odd for a usual still style. Very sweet smell with tons of sugar and sweet fruit (figs speak out loudly) and also some malty hints. A thick mouthful that is definately malt loaded. Some chocolate tones are picked up on the taste, which I find a bit strange for this style. The aftertaste was a bit 'ordinary' with not too much complexity. A decent beer, but not too good for the style. Worth trying, but if you havent had any of the more accessible barley wines, definately try those (anchor, sierra nevada, dogfishhead, etc).

Cloudy light amber,white head.Light citrus nose.Pleasant light bodied,mild refreshing citrus flavor. Not a lot of cloying yeast, more like American wheat instead of the German style,I prefer this.

Dark golden colour, amber perhaps. Nice head which stays for a long period of time. Very hoppy smell with hints of spice. Spicy hoppy taste too, but an unsatisfying amount of hops. A fairly good flavour for the intial two seconds, then fades away very quick.

Good orange tint to a golden colour with a dense airy head. Hoppy smell throughout. Thin-bodied and weak flavour. Decent initial taste, but it fades away quickly and left is a malty tate with a little hops. Not a great beer, but definately not the worst IPA!

Dark brown. Mildly roasty aroma. Subtle, unimpressive chocolate and roasted malt flavor. Watery, slightly bitter. Completely unsatisfying finish. This will probably be the last flying dog beer I ever buy.

Well, this isn''t hopped enough to satify THIS hophead, but it is a mere pale ale, and not an IPA. Very crisp, drinkable. The finish is a bit wheaty, which seems to be a traight of flying dog beers, but I don''t enjoy very much. This is a decent pale ale, but there are many better that are worth buying first.

Very deep, amber color, with no head present, but moderate carbonation. Chocolate, malty aroma. The flavor is quite decent, with notes of chocolate and cherries. These flavors, however, seem to clash with the hop character displayed in the beer, and this leaves on odd bitter, metallic finish. A decent, but imbalanced barley wine.
