650 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown almost black colour with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate and alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation.

Dark red-amber color with compact head. The aroma is very perfumy, flowery; malty. Good caramel flavor, a bit nutty, and plenty of resiny hops, orangey; good body strength, moderately sweet. Good.

Hazy dark amber color with compact head. Plenty of fruity hops in the aroma. Good body strength, round, moderately sweet, malty, caramelly, with strong bitterness and strong resiny and fruity hop character; long final.
A bit rough but very enjoyable beer.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow/amber with moderate head. Aromas of peaches, pine, gooseberries, and dusty malts. Flavors of citrus, light tropical fruit, and toasted malts. Smooth for an IPA. Quite nice and easy to drink.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is bready, with crusty bready malt and some piney hops. Flavour is full of fruity hops, pine, and some crusty rye bread. Nice and dry, with lots of flavour. Surprisingly great IPA.

Cloudy blond color with compact head. The Citra hop aroma is fresh and very pleasant. It’s very smooth, with light residual sweetness, the malt profile has some ashy evidence of buckwheat, then the strong bitterness and a reasonable amount of lemon peel.
Very good and refreshing beer, close to be a White IPA.

Still had some Winter Mixer packs left at The Beer Store. Last one to try and rate of the 4 different ones. Pours a light golden colour that is not filtered to the maximum (which is nice for a lager). Frothy white head, almost creamy, decent retention and good patchy lacing. The taste and aromas are lightly grainy, but with a refreshing mouthfeel, and not too thin. This would be a great lager to give to the mass, who likes the crappy Bud beers and all. I think it is a bridge to the higher micros. Recommended Canadian lager.

Part of the BC Craft Brewers Guild Natural Selections 6 pack (2014). Pours a deep amber colour with loads of particles floating around, creating some haziness. Big frothy beige head that lasts forever and gives out creamy lacing. Aromas of fresh grassy hops with spices appearing here and there. Hints of toffee, roasted malts and fruits. The taste is milder, but this is where the chocolate malt comes out. A nice bitter and lightly dry mouthfeel all around, from the hops that coming through. Bold, for sure. To make a bunch of styles come together. Very interesting !

Muddy brown, thin head, floral, phenolic; toasty, with citrusy hop, light autolysis, maybe a bit of harsh toastiness. Ok as a beer but I’m not sure I understand how they’re describing it.

Poured from the tap. Orangey brown with off-white head. Bready malt and resinous hops. As others have mentioned, the vegetableness does come out and doesn’t quite work.
